Alone Time

Did you ever feel like you needed it, but people were always around so you couldn't have it? That's how I have felt for the past few weeks. Sarah (my roommate) and her boyfriend have been over here almost every night. Sometimes I just want to scream at her boyfriend, "Don't you have a home?!"
I think I'm just agitated because I see that he doesn't clean up after himself. Dishes are always left out (in the sink, on the countertops, in the living room...everywhere), he tracks mud in after he plays football on Saturday mornings, and he's just downright not funny (even though he thinks he's God's gift to humor).
I just want to run away....any takers?

Graduation

What about this for a graduation outfit?

I know this isn't the best quality picture so I'll explain the clothing items to you. The shirt has a satiny feeling too it. Very smooth and touchable. It's a dark blue. The skirt is a pencil skirt. Black with very faint pinstripes. What do you think?

Graduation

So here's the scoop...I'm graduating in 11 days!! I could not be more excited! Don't get me wrong, I love Purdue, the people I have met here, and the wonderful congregation, but I am ready to begin a new chapter of my life. :)

Thanks to my sister for reminding me how many days I have left. She's an amazing woman! Cute too!!

In other news...
Thanksgiving was a blast! We had linner (lunch + dinner) at the local Golden Corral so no one would have to cook or do dishes. We had a blast meeting up with all of our Ohio relatives. My sister and I also went to the movies with our cousins Conor and Kaitlyn!

And my favorite picture from the entire weekend is...
That's right! GRANDPA SMILED!!

Yesterday

So yesterday I took a secret trip to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio to see my best friend. Don't worry it was only a 2.5 hour drive. I waited until after school was over and then left. When I got there it was like we had never been separated by distance. We just jumped right into our crazy style of conversation (which usually includes marriage type bickering) and acted like we had just seen each other the day before.

We (me, Chris, Rudy, and about 30 other Air Force men) went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings shortly after I arrived at their hotel. It was so fantastic being treated like a lady. I almost had forgotten what it felt like. I never laid a finger on a door handle. I love spending time with the men of the Air Force. Do they take classes on how to treat ladies?

I got back this morning incredibly late, or early, depending on your perspective. No worries though. I got up and went to school. I even took a test today that I feel I did really well on. The one thing I hated about this weekend was having to say goodbye to everyone especially Rudy and Chris. Goodbyes are hard, but they are harder when you know you won't see each other for a long time (I won't see Rudy probably until the summer and I won't see Chris until Christmas...maybe). I know this is a long post, but I wanted to share my secret journey with everyone.

P.S. The pictures explain my life completely with Chris as my friend. We have our goofy moments as in the third and forth pictures, but we always pull it together for the moments that really count (1st and 2nd pictures).

This Morning!

I had a fantastic morning! I overslept (which was much needed), but I didn't miss any classes. I woke up on the couch at 4 am with every intention of getting up and going to work, and I thought to myself, "maybe I'll just go lay in my bed for 15 minutes and then I'll go to work." Well...those 15 minutes turned into several hours. I ended up not rolling out of bed until 7:45am. That may still seem early, but those were 3.75 hours that I thoroughly enjoyed. At 8:10am I was out the door and en route to school.
At 9am I went to my swim class (early like always) and got some extra swim time in. I almost left and skipped swim class entirely because we were going to be playing Water Polo. A little known fact about me: I don't like playing games. Don't worry, I actually stayed and played the stupid game. Turns out...I'm sort of good at it. My team scored 5 points and I made 3 of those points. YAY! Who knew I was a water baby (besides my family)? That was the best start to my scholastic morning. Actually, every day I swim at school is a great start to my scholastic mornings.
After swim class I went to my International Relations class. I absolutely hate that class. I'm only taking it to fulfill a core requirement so I can graduate. Stupid. We had a quiz today over 6 chapters of the book "War is a Force That Gives Us Meaning." Oddly enough, it was more enjoyable than I had thought it was going to be (the book, not the quiz). The quiz was only seven questions and multiple choice, at that, so it was not difficult at all. Took me all of 5 minutes and I'm pretty sure I aced it. I love these types of mornings!! :)
I also found out that my best friend is going to be coming really close to where I live. Guess what that means?! Time to par-tay!! Just kidding! But we will all be hanging out together! I CAN'T WAIT!!
I hope your day was as enjoyable as mine! :)
