Yesterday

So yesterday I took a secret trip to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio to see my best friend. Don't worry it was only a 2.5 hour drive. I waited until after school was over and then left. When I got there it was like we had never been separated by distance. We just jumped right into our crazy style of conversation (which usually includes marriage type bickering) and acted like we had just seen each other the day before.

We (me, Chris, Rudy, and about 30 other Air Force men) went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings shortly after I arrived at their hotel. It was so fantastic being treated like a lady. I almost had forgotten what it felt like. I never laid a finger on a door handle. I love spending time with the men of the Air Force. Do they take classes on how to treat ladies?

I got back this morning incredibly late, or early, depending on your perspective. No worries though. I got up and went to school. I even took a test today that I feel I did really well on. The one thing I hated about this weekend was having to say goodbye to everyone especially Rudy and Chris. Goodbyes are hard, but they are harder when you know you won't see each other for a long time (I won't see Rudy probably until the summer and I won't see Chris until Christmas...maybe). I know this is a long post, but I wanted to share my secret journey with everyone.

P.S. The pictures explain my life completely with Chris as my friend. We have our goofy moments as in the third and forth pictures, but we always pull it together for the moments that really count (1st and 2nd pictures).

This Morning!

I had a fantastic morning! I overslept (which was much needed), but I didn't miss any classes. I woke up on the couch at 4 am with every intention of getting up and going to work, and I thought to myself, "maybe I'll just go lay in my bed for 15 minutes and then I'll go to work." Well...those 15 minutes turned into several hours. I ended up not rolling out of bed until 7:45am. That may still seem early, but those were 3.75 hours that I thoroughly enjoyed. At 8:10am I was out the door and en route to school.
At 9am I went to my swim class (early like always) and got some extra swim time in. I almost left and skipped swim class entirely because we were going to be playing Water Polo. A little known fact about me: I don't like playing games. Don't worry, I actually stayed and played the stupid game. Turns out...I'm sort of good at it. My team scored 5 points and I made 3 of those points. YAY! Who knew I was a water baby (besides my family)? That was the best start to my scholastic morning. Actually, every day I swim at school is a great start to my scholastic mornings.
After swim class I went to my International Relations class. I absolutely hate that class. I'm only taking it to fulfill a core requirement so I can graduate. Stupid. We had a quiz today over 6 chapters of the book "War is a Force That Gives Us Meaning." Oddly enough, it was more enjoyable than I had thought it was going to be (the book, not the quiz). The quiz was only seven questions and multiple choice, at that, so it was not difficult at all. Took me all of 5 minutes and I'm pretty sure I aced it. I love these types of mornings!! :)
I also found out that my best friend is going to be coming really close to where I live. Guess what that means?! Time to par-tay!! Just kidding! But we will all be hanging out together! I CAN'T WAIT!!
I hope your day was as enjoyable as mine! :)

Guess what I did today?!

Absolutely nothing. I was such a bum. I did zero schoolwork. I didn't even clean my room. Why is lazing around on the weekends so much fun? Why does it always feel better to do absolutely nothing as opposed to doing the things you need to?

Things I actually accomplished today:
1) Went to church
2) Ate lunch AND dinner (a rarity for me)
3) Made Sarah a dream pie (think lots of chocolate and a graham cracker crust)
4) Washed my swimsuit and towel for class tomorrow
5) Helped Sarah calm down during a panic attack thus ending the attack faster than expected.

I think that's it. And this is just to make me smile. :)

A Little About Me

I'm pretty new to this, but my sister got me interested. :) She's pretty much the breath in my life. She keeps me going.
A little about me: I'm graduating in December and I couldn't be more excited! Now on to more important things like grad school applications (which stress me out), finding health insurance, and still working so I can pay rent. Blah.
I work in an office which is located in a factory. I like working there except on the days when the natives (workers in the factory) are restless and don't care about what comments come out of their mouths. It's never nice. Trust me. I think I'm going to stay there until the end of May '09. Hopefully by then I will have been accepted to a grad school and trained my replacement in the office.
I think that's it for now. I need to get motivated to take care of my "adult responsibilities." If I don't go grocery shopping, no one in this house eats. No bueno.
I get to see my sister in a few weeks! SO EXCITED!!
